Art Nouveau- Fire Place Feature- Chalk White

order pressed tin panels online

Sale not final until full PTP invoice received and confirmation made.

Louise and Phillip used the Art Nouveau design to create this fantastic vintage feature wall behind their fireplace.

With the aim of achieving a “rust” look they have managed to capture a beautiful eclectic look.

The panels were painted by Louise using a chalk paint. Here are her words on how she achieved the look;

” The first coat is Jolie Paint, colour Gesso White. I applied two coats. I then made a watered down wash approx half half of Jolie French Grey and applied where I wanted shading. When completely dry I used  British Paint Timber Protect water based varnish. This is a great clear coat as it does not yellow. To add a little more definition I used Jolie Finishing Wax in Black simply applied with a brush to areas I wanted to define more and a little dark wax as well. The dark wax is slightly more brown in colour. It looks a little like rust which is what I wanted as I was hoping to achieve an aged look. “

They have provided us with a beautiful testimonial;

” I have so enjoyed my experience with dealing with your Company from the placing of our order to collecting the order and using the pressed tin to create something that we love. I can highly recommend your Company. Totally professional.”

And a lovely 5 star Google Review;

“Wow! What a fantastic Company to deal with. I placed my order on Monday and by Wednesday was called by the local courier to collect. We live up near the Queensland border. The professional response upon placing our order could not be faltered. We were given immediate answers to questions such as delivery costs and time etc. The panels were packaged to perfection. Thank you. I wish to compliment your Company on its professionalism.”
